Membership Cost and Entitlements
The United Kingdom & Ireland Big Pitch Guide
Membership currently costs a total of £45.00 for a two consecutive-year period of membership, that period to start from the day of registration. Members who require the Guide to be 'posted' to them will be asked to pay an additional sum to cover the cost of post and packaging of the Guide specifically within the UK - members who want their Guides posted overseas should Email Mo and Dick first to ascertain the cost of post and packaging.
Registration will be initiated on the day of receipt of the relevant subscription - when a new and up-to-date standard copy of the Guide will despatched to the member - complete with a membership certificate and a written 'Welcome' letter containing all the details advising that member of a username and password whereby he/she can gain entry into the 'Members Area' of the Big Pitch Guide Website.
A standard Guide shall consist of a printed copy of all the sites known (to Mo and Dick) to be RV-friendly at the time of registration, together with an index, a map and any other information that Mo and Dick consider worthy of inclusion within that Guide, each page to be 4-hole punched and contained within a personalised plastic 4-ring binder.
Members can opt (at an additional cost) for a better quality of binder such as the nylon covered Executive Binder or the leather-look Deluxe binder.
An Executive Guide shall consist of a printed copy of all the sites known (to Mo and Dick) to be RV-friendly at the time of registration, together with an index, a map and any other information that Mo and Dick consider worthy of inclusion within that Guide, each page to be 4-hole punched and contained within a fully zippered durable nylon covered 4-ring binder complete with an integrated calculator. Members can elect to purchase (currently at an additional cost of £10.00) this Executive binder at the time of registration from Mo and Dick.
A Deluxe Guide shall consist of a printed copy of all the sites known (to Mo and Dick) to be RV-friendly at the time of registration, together with an index, a map and any other information that Mo and Dick consider worthy of inclusion within that Guide, each page to be 4-hole punched and contained within a personalised Executive leather-look 4-ring binder. Members can elect to purchase (currently at an additional cost of £20) this Executive binder at the time of registration from Mo and Dick.
The Standard and Executive version of the Guides posted within the UK are sent by 'Recorded First-Class' post, the Deluxe version is sent by Special post - which in all three cases will require somebody to be at the delivery address to sign for the safe receipt of the parcel - if that causes problems for Members then Mo and Dick are happy to send the parcel to a secondary address if notified by telephone or email before, or as soon as, the purchase is made.
At periodic and frequent intervals (currently about twice a month on a Monday evening) each member (who has registered an email address with Mo and Dick) will be emailed any new information or shown the location of new pages pertinent to their Guide, assuming that there is any relevant information to pass on at that stage. Members (who have not registered an email address) can telephone or write to Mo and Dick and request that printed updates are sent to them at reasonable intervals (quarterly).
Every site listed in the Red Section of the Guide has been identified on the UK Google Map in the Members Area - and if that site locator is 'clicked' an information bubble appears showing the exact location of that site on the map together with other important data - and inside that information bubble can be seen the letters BPG - click on those letters and a new screen will appear with the latest edition of that site page shown in a version that can be downloaded and printed.
Mo and Dick's postal address, website address, email address and personal telephone numbers are published on the front page of each Guide and all members are invited to contact Mo and Dick at any time (preferably between 9am and 9pm) on any day of the membership period for whatever purpose necessary - be that a request for information on a new website, information relevant to their RV or information contained within the Guide.
At the end of each two year period the member will be invited either by email or by letter to renew his/her membership.
Members may elect to extend their membership in one of two ways:
Full Renewal - those members who require a new up-to-date copy of the Guide will pay the same price as a new member shown in paragraph one of this document - with the exception that they will be sent an Executive Binder (in lieu of the plastic binder) as a token of our thanks for renewal of their membership.
Standard Renewal - those members who do not require a new copy of the Guide will pay a reduced fee of £20 for their membership to be extended for a further two year period. They will be entitled to the full member rights with the exception that they will not receive a new copy of the Guide.
The European Big Pitch
This is a totally separate Club and requires a separate subscription for membership. Friends may be members of both Guides but membership of one Guide does not entitle membership rights to the other. Membership details for the EU Guide are exactly the same as for the UK Guide.
Price List - 2012
- A two-year subscription to the Friends of the UK Big Pitch Guide costs £45.00.
- A two-year subscription to the Friends of the EU Big Pitch Guide costs £45.00.
- An Executive fully-zippered nylon-bound 4-ring binder costs £10.00 extra.
- A Deluxe fully-zippered leather-look 4-ring binder costs £20.00 extra.
- Post and packaging of the standard Guide costs £8.00 to any UK destination.
- Post and packaging of the Executive Guide costs £8.00 to any UK destination.
- Post and packaging of the Deluxe Guide costs £10 to any UK destination using Special delivery.
Delivery
The Standard or the Executive Guide:
Upon the successful registration of membership, and depending upon which binder the Member has chosen, a Standard or Executive Guide will be despatched by Recorded Delivery to the address supplied by the member concerned. The package will have to be signed for at the delivery address - for that reason Mo and Dick are quite prepared to despatch a Guide to any 'occupied' address such as a member's work address.
Guides dispatched on Monday through to Thursday are designed to be delivered at some time on the following day but experience has shown that this period can frequently be exceeded by at least 24 hours. Guides despatched on a Friday or Saturday are generally delivered on the following Monday.
All Guides despatched overseas will be sent at Printed Paper Air Mail Rates and will obviously take longer to reach their destination.
If a new member has not received their copy of the Guide within 14 days they must immediately telephone or email Mo and Dick and report the fact - so that a replacement Guide can be prepared and despatched promptly.
In the event that a second Guide is prepared and despatched - and the first Guide subsequently arrives later, Mo and Dick request the return of the second Guide (postage will be refunded).
The Deluxe Guide:
Upon the successful registration of membership a Deluxe Guide will be despatched by Special Delivery to the member concerned. The package will have to be signed for at the delivery address - for that reason Mo and Dick are quite prepared to despatch a Guide to any 'occupied' address such as a member's work address. Guides dispatched on Monday through to Thursday are guaranteed to be delivered by 12 noon on the following day. Guides despatched on a Friday or Saturday are delivered by 12 noon on the following Monday.
Deluxe Guides despatched overseas will be sent at Printed Paper Air Mail Rates and will obviously take longer to reach their destination.
If a new member has not received their copy of the Guide within 4 days they must immediately telephone or email Mo and Dick and report the fact so that a replacement Guide can be prepared and despatched promptly.
In the event that a second Guide is prepared and despatched - and the first Guide subsequently arrives later, Mo and Dick request the return of the second Guide (postage will be refunded).
Returns Policy
A member who has successfully registered as a Friend of the Big Pitch Guide but finds their copy of the Guide has been damaged in the post - should contact Mo and Dick immediately, so that a replacement copy can be despatched promptly. The damaged goods should be returned to Mo and Dick at the earliest possible time so that Mo and Dick can seek compensation from the Authorities concerned. Return post and packaging will be paid for by Mo and Dick.
Membership Cancellation and Refund Policy
A member who has successfully registered as a Friend of the Big Pitch Guide but then decides to cancel their subscription within 14 days of registration should contact Mo and Dick immediately and return their undamaged copy of the Guide within 21 days of their initial registration application - the member concerned will receive a full refund of their membership subscription by the same means as those by which they paid - minus the cost of return post and packaging.
A member who has successfully registered as a Friend of the Big Pitch Guide but then decides to cancel their membership after 14 days of full membership shall be deemed to have accepted that full membership and shall not be entitled to a refund. However, in the event of a genuine grievance, Mo and Dick are totally open to persuasion and will willingly discuss the situation with a view to achieving an amicable agreement.
Privacy Policy
Members Personal Details:
The only personal details of members retained by Mo and Dick are those details necessary for Mo and Dick to contact the member concerned. Those details are restricted to the member's name, postal address, email address, details of which Guide or Guides the member belongs to and the dates of membership.
No personal details, whatsoever, of any member of the Big Pitch Guide will be passed in any way, shape or form, whatsoever, to any third party without the individual personal agreement of the member concerned.
Membership details are contained within the Big Pitch Guide website (an automated membership database) and are only available to four people, namely the member concerned, Mo and Dick and the webmaster of the Big Pitch Guide website. The website is fully protected by a proprietary computer security system and entry into the database is only available to the individual member with the relevant username and password - both of which are computer generated and passed direct from the website computer to member's computer. Nobody, other than the member concerned, has access to that computer generated password - and after having accessed their individual account for the first time - members may change it to another password better suited to them. Neither the Webmaster or Mo and Dick have access to the personal password installed by the member; therefore in the event of a loss of a password, the member's account will have to revert to a default program so that a new password can be issued.
Members Financial Details;
There are absolutely NO financial details (such as members credit card numbers, debit card numbers, Bank account references or any other monetary references whatsoever) stored within Mo and Dick's membership database, web site or any computer system associated with Mo and Dick's Big Pitch Guide.
Members who opt to pay for membership through the Big Pitch Guide website - do so using the secure facilities offered by PayPal on the Big Pitch Guide website - and the resulting "notification of payment" from PayPal to Mo and Dick contains no personal financial details whatsoever, other than the amount paid by the member for membership. That "notification of payment" document is retained safely within Mo and Dick's secure filing system for auditing purposes and will be destroyed after the relevant legal period.
Members who opt to pay by credit or debit card over the telephone, by letter or by fax will have their financial details immediately transmitted to PayPal, via the PayPal Virtual Terminal (the terminal used by Mo and Dick is fully protected by a proprietary security system and is only accessible through a protected username and password known only to Mo and Dick.) Mo and Dick will immediately destroy all of those financial communications as soon as PayPal has been notified of the details.
It is re-iterated that NO financial details whatsoever are stored within Mo and Dick's membership database, web site or computer system.
